Memorial Day

It started out as a drag.

I hate to be soo pessemistic, but waking up to snow on the 30th of May on a three-day weekend, just wasn't was I was hoping for. But on the brighter side, I am not complaining too much, at least it wasn't a tornado or flood! We went to Salt Lake to hit up Costco. I guess Costco celebrates Memorial Day as well because they were closed. Big.Fat.Bummer. Because our cupboards were bare (and still are)!

So we decided to go visit Grandma & Grandpa P. They were gone to lunch. We hit up the cemetary while waiting for them and took some flowers to my sweet twin sisters' grave. I love going to the cemetary on Memorial Day. It's so beautiful and peaceful. I was actually hoping to catch Grandma & Gramps in time to go with them to the cemetaries, but we missed out this year. Maybe next. We did catch up with Grams and Gramps later and had a great time visiting with them. They told me stories about their parents and took us for a little tour around Pleasant Grove. We checked out the 36" pipe that runs right down the middle of the road that runs into the canal to hopefully prevent flooding from all the snow and rain this year. It was quite the operation!! And we drove by the house my Gramps was born in (my Great, Great Grandmas house) and the house they lived in when they were first married. I love doing things like that with them, it's memories that I will forever cherish.

And we spent a few hours with my Mom and Mesa. A few too many hours, I am paying for it now. . .
